Got a call from the RiverPark neighborhood in Oxnard, late on a weeknight. A woman's bag had been grabbed off a patio table while she was eating after a long shift. Keys, wallet, phone, all gone. She borrowed the cashier's phone and called the police, then her sister, then me.

Her 2018 Honda Fit EX was sitting in the lot with zero keys. Her sister had already called the dealer. Their answer: order a new fob, tow the car in, wait three to five business days. They also recommended rekeying the locks since the stolen key could still physically open the doors.

I connected my IM608 to the OBD-II port, cleared the old key data so the stolen KR5V1X was dead to the car, and registered two brand new fobs from scratch. Decoded the door lock with my Lishi HU162T(10), cut both emergency blades on-site, tested all four buttons on each fob, and confirmed push-button start and passive entry on every door.

She drove herself home that same night. The stolen fob can still physically turn the door lock, but the immobilizer will never let it crank the engine. Two working keys, old one erased, no tow truck, no waiting.
