Got a call from a guy near Ojai Post Office Tower on a Thursday afternoon. His 2007 FX35 was sitting in a parking spot doing nothing. He had one smart key left and it just stopped working after he dropped it getting out of his car. Screen on the dash read "NO KEY DETECTED" and the push button start was dead to him.

I pulled up and popped open the CWTWBU619 fob on his hood. The CR2025 had shifted off its contact pad from the impact. One of the small spring tabs was bent just enough to break the circuit. Straightened the tab, reseated a fresh Panasonic CR2025, and snapped it shut.
Fob lit up on the first press. Walked every button: lock, unlock, trunk. Then tested passive entry on the driver handle and passenger handle. Start button fired the VQ35DE on the first touch.
He had been on the phone with the Infiniti dealer before he called me. They told him to tow it in, leave it, and they would look at it in a couple of days. He was already planning his week around not having the car.
Whole thing took me about fifteen minutes on site. His car never moved from the spot.
