Out in Ojai Arcade, a retired guy with a 2009 Infiniti FX35 parked on a hilltop property called me after getting a quote from the nearest Infiniti dealer. The dealer was well over an hour each way, and the total with towing and their parts-plus-labor breakdown would have eaten up most of a day and a good chunk of money he didn't feel like spending.

I worked on the FX35 in his driveway. Under the Infiniti badge, this is a Nissan NATS6 immobilizer system. The BCM talks to the Intelligent Key through 46-chip protocol, same architecture as the Nissan Murano. I connected my VVDI2 to the OBD-II port, pulled the PIN from the BCM, and registered a new KR55WK48903 fob. Cut the emergency insert blade on site, tested all four buttons, checked passive entry on both front doors and the hatch, and ran the push-button start cycle twice.
He had two working keys before I packed up.
The whole thing took about 40 minutes. He stood there holding both fobs like he was weighing them, then just said, "I don't know why I almost drove to Oxnard for this."
