2009 Infiniti Fx35
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2009 Infiniti Fx35 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call from a guy out in Meiners Oaks, on the Ojai side of things. He had a 2009 Infiniti FX35 sitting in the driveway and one bad fob. Not lost, not stolen. Just dead. Wouldn't lock the doors, wouldn't talk to the car, and the push-button wouldn't read it even held right up to the start button.

He'd already been on hold with the Infiniti dealer once. They told him they'd need to order the key by VIN and couldn't give him a firm arrival date. Then they quoted him the full service ticket: fob, programming, cutting, a diagnostic fee. He did the math and called me instead.

I drove out to Meiners Oaks and met him at the vehicle. Pulled up the driveway, opened the kit, and got to work at the car. The FX35 uses the Nissan-family intelligent key architecture under the Infiniti badge, so the programming process is familiar territory. I pulled the PIN through the OBD port, built the new fob, cut the emergency insert blade, and ran the full pairing sequence.

Before I packed up I walked every function. Lock, unlock, the start detection from outside the car, and the emergency blade in the door lock. All four buttons. Both from close range and from across the driveway.

He had a working key. I was back on the road in under 45 minutes. He never had to arrange a tow, never had to wait on a parts order, and saved a good chunk compared to the dealer quote. Out here in Ojai, that kind of turnaround isn't a luxury. It's just what makes sense.
