Over in Oxnard near the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center, a guy was dealing with one of the worst mornings you can have. Going through a divorce, moving day, storage pod in the lot, movers already driving in. Somewhere in that pod, buried under who knows how many boxes, was his only key to a 2000 Infiniti G20. No remote head on this one, just a straight transponder key. Chip registered, NATS light cycled off on startup, engine fired clean.
One thing I told him: add-a-key doesn't wipe the old key. If he ever finds the original in a box six months from now, it'll still start the car. He nodded but I don't think he cared right then.
He was back to directing movers within 40 minutes of me pulling up. The dealer quoted him days, not hours. He didn't have days.
