A woman in Sea Air, Oxnard called me on a Tuesday afternoon. She had one working key for her 2020 Lexus RC and had been meaning to get a spare cut for a year. I seated a fresh CR1632, straightened the contact, and closed the fob back up. Then I went through every function: touch unlock on both handles, lock button, unlock button, the start button response from outside the car. Everything came back clean.
She still wanted a spare made, which was the smart call. I connected through the OBD port, registered a second fob to the vehicle, cut the blade to match, and tested the new key through the full sequence. Both keys working, both confirmed at the dash, done in one visit.
The dealer was still three weeks out ordering a part I had on the truck.
