Her bakery opens at 6am. The bread run starts at 4:45. Her 2014 Mazda 5 was parked behind the shop in the Mission Oaks neighborhood in Camarillo, loaded with sourdough and brioche for three restaurants, and the smart key had finally quit.

The CR2025 was dead and the negative battery contact had a thin green film on it. Cleaned the contact, dropped in a fresh CR2025, but the keyless module on the CY board had already lost the fob registration. So I ran the smart key relearn through the diagnostic port, waited out the timed security countdown the Mazda immobilizer requires, and re-registered her WAZX1T763SKE11A04.
Tested push-to-start, all four buttons, walk-away lock. Everything responded clean.
She was on her route by 5:40. Three restaurants got their bread on time because the parts were already in my van at 4:30 in the morning.
