I got a call from a preschool director over near Wagon Wheel in Oxnard. She had staff showing up at seven in the morning and parents right behind them.
Her 2011 Mazda RX-8 had been giving her a key-not-detected warning all week, intermittently. Some mornings she had to hold the fob against the start button just to get the car to acknowledge it. She called the dealer. They told her four days out.

She was locked in and rolling before the first parent pulled in. The dealer would have had her towing it in, waiting for a parts order, and coming back for a second appointment. We did it in the lot, before school started, for way less than what they quoted.
