A chiropractor assistant over by Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard called me on a Tuesday between patients. Her 2015 Scion tC key had cracked right at the head where the plastic meets the blade. The TOY43 blade was wobbling loose, and the remote buttons had already stopped making contact. She told me she tried squeezing it together and wrapping it in tape. That held for about two days.

I pulled into the chiropractic office lot during her lunch break. Decoded the lock with my TOY43 Lishi to verify the bitting, cut a fresh blade, and built a new HYQ14ACX remote head key. Programmed the H-chip transponder through the OBD port. The whole thing, decode to test drive, ran about 25 minutes.
She came out after her last patient and the car started on the first turn. Two working keys now, the old tape-wrapped one retired to her junk drawer. Her car never left the parking spot and she never left work.
