Then the part that actually matters. I tested start, lock, unlock, and trunk release from across the soccer field lot. Walked away, came back, tested again five minutes later. Intermittent IMMO4 issues sometimes only show after the key sits idle and the transponder has to wake up cold.
Everything held. He stuck the key in his referee bag and jogged back toward the field. No drama. A dealer would have had him drop the car off and wait days for a scheduled appointment. I was done before halftime.
