A surf instructor out near the River Park/Wagon Wheel area learned the hard way that a flip key and a wave don't mix. He finished a lesson, came back to his 2021 Passat in the lot, and the key was gone. Best guess: it came out of his pocket sometime in the water. He watched the whole thing from about three feet away. When I tested the buttons and turned the key and the car started, he just said "that's it?" That's it. No drilling, no cylinder swap, no tow to the dealer.
