2006 Infiniti Q45 Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a building superintendent at one of the larger complexes off Via Marina in Oxnard. He was managing the property, driving his own 2006 Q45, and also keeping two company vehicles running for maintenance calls.
He needed a spare for his personal car and spares for both work vehicles. The dealer had quoted him a number that, multiplied by three keys, wasn't going to survive a budget review.
The other problem was logistics. He couldn't take vehicles off-site one at a time. When a pipe bursts at ten in the morning, nobody wants to hear that the maintenance van is sitting at a dealership waiting on a key.
I met him at the complex late one afternoon. Before adding multiple keys to the same vehicle, I back up the immobilizer module data first. It's a step a lot of people skip, but when you're programming several keys in sequence, it gives you a recovery point if anything goes sideways. His Q45 remote head key runs a four-button layout, and each key got programmed and tested before I moved to the next vehicle.
All three vehicles, one visit, every key tested and labeled before I left. He handled two tenant calls while I was in the parking lot working. The dealer quote for three keys was more than what most people spend on a month of car insurance. He saved a substantial chunk, kept every vehicle on-site, and didn't have to reschedule around a parts order.
