Over near Oxnard State Beach Park, a Q60 owner walked out of a late lunch and her push-to-start did absolutely nothing. Dashboard lit up with "Key ID Incorrect" and just sat there. She tried holding the fob against the start button, which is the emergency backup Infiniti describes in the manual. Still nothing.

I plugged the Autel IM608 into the OBD port and ran the Infiniti security access sequence against the BCM. The 2020 Q60 uses a 20-digit PIN system on the Body Control Module, which the tool extracts directly. While the security timer counted down, I cut the NSN14 emergency insert blade and prepped the new KR5S180144014 fob.
Once access cleared, I registered the new smart key, wiped the old dead fob from the system, and tested every function. Push-to-start, remote lock, remote unlock, trunk release, all five buttons. Then I walked the vehicle and checked that the door handle proximity sensors picked up the new key from both sides.
She sat in the driver seat, hit the button, and the VR30 turned over clean. Whole thing was under 40 minutes. The dealer had quoted her a multi-day wait just to get an appointment.
