He'd parked at the Camarillo airport, flown out for a consulting trip, and come back to a Quest that wouldn't respond to anything. No door unlock, no response from the fob, nothing. The emergency blade was tucked in his laptop bag. His laptop bag was in the back of the van. The van was locked.
