She was up in the Hillsides area of Ventura, at an outdoor shopping area, pushing her baby in a stroller when someone grabbed her bag off the handle. Keys, wallet, phone, gone. She borrowed a phone from a store employee and called her husband, then the police, then me.
Her 1999 Audi A8 was at home and there were zero keys for it. Her husband called the Audi dealer while she was still with the police. She drove home that night with her baby. The stolen key won't open the doors or start the engine. The dealer estimate included a tow, days of waiting, and a bill that was a significant chunk more than what she paid me.
The police took a report. I took care of the car.
