But because I could read her original transponder data with my VVDI Key Tool, I skipped that entire reset. Wrote the chip data onto a fresh Megamos 48 blank, built it into a new 4-button flip shell with part number 8T0959754G, cut a new HU66 blade, and paired it to the car.
She went from zero working keys to two in about 40 minutes, right there in the parking lot. The dealer quoted her a multi-week wait because the key had to be ordered from Germany. She did not wait multiple weeks. She drove to her class.
