Over in Pierpont neighborhood in Ventura, a woman's 2006 BMW X5 threw an ELV warning that morning. Key slid in, turned to accessory, and stopped there. No crank. Dash lit up with the steering lock fault and the car just sat in her driveway like it had made up its mind.
