Got a call from a guy over in Lotusland in Montecito. His 2012 Challenger R/T was sitting in the driveway, dead FOBIK, no spare. He said the fob had been getting flaky for weeks, shorter range, sometimes needing two or three presses to unlock. Then one morning it just quit. Dashboard showed "Key Not Found" and the engine would not crank.

I pulled up, ran the VVDI Key Tool to extract the PIN from the SKIM module through the OBD-II port. No gateway on these pre-2018 CDJR cars, so the PIN pull is clean and direct. Cut a new high-security fob blade on the Condor, built the IYZ-C01C FOBIK, and programmed it to the RF hub. Tested all five buttons, tested push-to-start three times cold, checked remote start from across the driveway.
The part he liked was watching the old dead fob get erased from the system. He said knowing it could not start his car anymore mattered more to him than the new one working. Whole job, maybe 35 minutes. His Challenger never left the driveway.
