College Estates area in Oxnard, the owner had both fobs but neither would unlock the doors or start her 2023 Challenger. The dash showed "Key Fob Not Detected" even with the fob right on the start button.

I plugged into the OBD port and pulled codes: U1424 for lost communication with the RF Hub. That's the module that talks to your smart keys. On these fifth-gen Challengers, the RF Hub sits behind the center stack and handles all the proximity detection. When it goes silent, your fobs become paperweights.
The fix wasn't a new key at all. I cleared the codes, ran a RF Hub relearn through the gateway module, and both her M3M-40821302 fobs came back online. Emergency blade worked in the door, proximity unlock responded at all four handles, push-to-start recognized the fob from three feet away.
She kept testing it, like it might quit again. But that's the thing with these RF Hub issues: once you run the proper relearn sequence through the secure gateway, they typically stay fixed. Saved her a chunk compared to what the dealer wanted for "diagnostic time" alone.
