A guy in Upper Village, Montecito, had just picked up a 2016 Dodge Challenger at auction for a solid price. Clean title, good shape, one problem: it came with a single Fobik. The auction told him to get a spare on his own. He figured it would be quick and cheap.

I matched the blank, and used my programmer to pull the PIN from the immobilizer and register the new Fobik so the Sentry Key system accepted it, no dealer visit needed.
Lock, unlock, trunk, remote start, panic. All five buttons working. He drove home with two programmed Fobiks, and that second key means if one ever goes missing, the next replacement is a simple add-a-key instead of a full all-keys-lost procedure.
