I got a call from a mechanic shop off a surface street in Thousand Oaks, near the North Ranch area. The customer had a 2017 F-350, and the situation was already a mess before I showed up.
Another locksmith had started a smart key programming job earlier that day. Somewhere in the middle of the security handshake, the truck's battery voltage dropped. The programming tool threw errors, the job died halfway through, and the tech left without finishing. Now the vehicle security system was in a fault state, the new fob wasn't paired, and the truck wasn't starting.
