2001 Honda CR-V Metal Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy in North Fillmore had been fighting his 2001 CR-V ignition for a few weeks. Not all the way broken, just bad enough to make every morning a project. He'd insert the key, feel it catch on something, wiggle it side to side, maybe push the steering column a little, and eventually it would turn. Sometimes he'd sit there for a minute before it cooperated.

I rewaferred the cylinder, cut a fresh key to the new code, and handed it to him. He turned the key twice, looked at me, and said something like "that's what it's supposed to feel like." The old wafers were sitting in my palm and he could see the wear on the edges himself. I didn't have to explain anything. The metal told the story.
He didn't need a new ignition. He needed about forty minutes and someone who could read a worn lock correctly.
