Then she asked about a spare. Smart move. I pulled a blank fob from stock, programmed the ID46 chip through her OBD port using my diagnostic setup, and paired both keys to the SMARTRA module so the car recognized two fobs. Tested lock, unlock, trunk, panic, and push to start on both. All clean.
She went back to her errands. No dealer trip, no parts wait, no second appointment. Same parking lot, same afternoon.
