Got a GPS pin from a guy in Grant Park, Ventura. His 2020 Sonata was sitting in a dirt pull-off near a trailhead and he had zero keys. Lost the only fob somewhere on the trail. No spare at home, nobody to bring one.

Then I decoded the door lock, cut the emergency insert blade on site, and built his proximity key from scratch right there on the tailgate of my van. Seven buttons, remote start, the whole fob.
He stood there watching the dirt lot the entire time. When the Sonata started, he just nodded once and looked at the trail like he was mad at it.
The whole job took about 40 minutes. A dealer would have meant a tow out of a trailhead no flatbed wants to navigate, plus the wait for an appointment, plus whatever they charge on top. He drove home instead.
