2007 Kia Sorento Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy from Mandalay Beach called me on a Tuesday morning. He had just landed from a work trip, made it to the parking garage, and his 2007 Sorento sat there completely dark. No response to the fob. Nothing.
The doors were locked. He had the emergency blade, but it was packed in his carry-on, which was in the trunk. The trunk would not pop without the remote working. He had done a full loop of that garage level looking for an angle and came up empty.
The dealer told him Thursday at the earliest. A tow was going to cost him real money just to move the car a few blocks. He found me online and called.
I was at the garage in under 45 minutes. Got the door open mechanically, checked the fob, and it was exactly what it looked like: a dead CR2032 that had finally given out, probably somewhere over the Pacific. The remote still had its programming intact. Swapped the battery, confirmed the remote was talking to the car, tested all four buttons, and he was done before he had even finished his coffee from the terminal.
He did not need a new fob. He did not need a tow. He did not need to wait two days. He drove home that same morning for way less than the dealer route would have cost him, and that is before you even factor in the tow and the two lost days.
