Got a call from a guy in the South Bank neighborhood in Oxnard. He had just flown back from a work trip overseas, walked up to his 2007 Kia Sorento in the airport parking garage, and nothing. No chirp, no unlock, no trunk release. Dead CR2032 in the PLNHM-T011 remote.

Fresh CR2032, re-sync procedure through the BCM, and I tested all four buttons: lock, unlock, panic, and hatch release. Everything responded clean. He drove home that same morning instead of waiting two more days and paying for a tow on top of the dealer visit.
