That kills the stolen key electronically. It can't start anything anymore. Then I decoded the door lock, cut two new MIT11 blade keys, and programmed both ID46 chips to the ETACS from scratch.
He watched from the curb, still on hold with his credit card company. By the time the police circled back for a follow-up, he had two working keys and drove home that night.
The stolen key is just a piece of metal now. Once the ETACS memory is cleared, the old transponder code is gone for good.
