Cut the emergency insert blade on my Triax, synced the remote functions through the OBD port.
Whole thing took about 25 minutes. He stood there watching, mostly just relieved it wasn't the production he thought it would be.
Now he's got two working smart keys for a fraction of what the dealer wanted for one. And that spare changes the math going forward. His next replacement is a simple add-a-key instead of all-keys-lost, which on a Mitsubishi means PIN extraction and sometimes bench work on the ETACS unit. That's a headache he just skipped.
