Late on a weeknight in North Fillmore, I got a call from a guy who had been standing in his driveway for about forty minutes trying to figure out why his 2009 Lancer would not respond to his fob. All of it working, right there in his driveway around midnight.
He kept saying he was sure he needed a tow. The dealer comparison came up almost as an afterthought at the end, when he asked what this would have cost him in the morning. The answer was: a lot more, plus a tow, plus waiting until they could fit him in.
