2010 Nissan Titan REMOTE-HEAD-KEY Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Over in Promenade Park in Ventura, a guy with a 2010 Titan had half a key blade stuck in his ignition cylinder and the other half sitting in his palm. He was in a junkyard customer lot, truck still running because he didn't want to force the broken piece deeper into the wafers.
He called me sounding like his whole morning had gone sideways. Fair enough.
I got there and used a DAT17 Lishi to extract the broken bit without chewing up the lock wafers. Once it was out clean, I decoded the cylinder right there and cut a new NSN14 blade from the readings. His Titan runs the NATS IV immobilizer with a 4D60 (Texas Crypto 40-bit) transponder chip, separate from the remote. The CWTWB1U751 fob was clipped to his belt loop the whole time, totally fine. I just needed to cut and program a new transponder blade.
One registration cycle through the OBD-II port and the BCM accepted the new chip. No drama.
He was back pulling parts within the hour. A snapped key at a junkyard feels like a bad day, but on a first-gen Titan the lock is simple to decode and the immobilizer handshake is quick. These are some of the fastest key jobs I run.
