2012 Porsche 911 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Friday night in Oxnard, close to Pleasant Valley Fields, a couple walked out of a cocktail lounge around 10:15 to find their 2012 Porsche 911 completely unresponsive. No chirp, no lights, nothing from the fob. They were already looking up tow trucks when they called me.
I was about 15 minutes out with the right stock already in the van. Porsche smart key blanks, CR2032 cells, programming hardware. I don't order parts after you call.
Their fob was the KR55WK50138, the car-shaped 5-button smart key with part number 7PP-959-753-BQ. Classic dead battery situation. The CR2032 was totally spent. I showed them the emergency blade hidden in the back of the fob housing, because nobody reads that part of the owner's manual. Swapped the battery, but the KESSY module had lost its handshake with the fob after repeated dead-battery attempts, so I ran a re-registration through the OBD port to re-pair it with the Drive Block system.
Push-to-start fired on the first press. All five buttons tested clean. Passive entry on both doors, trunk release, all good.
The guy just stood there holding the fob, turning it over, like he was seeing it for the first time. His wife was already in the passenger seat with her seatbelt on.
They drove home that Friday night instead of leaving a Porsche parked on the street until Monday. The whole thing cost them a fraction of what the dealer would have charged, and zero wait time.
