She borrowed the server's phone. Called the police, called her husband, then called me.
Her 2025 RAV4 was sitting in the lot and there was not a working key anywhere near it. The dealer her husband contacted quoted three to five business days, said the car had to be towed in, and put together an estimate that made him go quiet for a second before he repeated the number back.
I got there that same evening.
The first thing I told them, before I touched anything, was what I always say in a stolen-key situation: the moment I wipe the key memory and re-register new fobs, the old key is dead to this car.
