Near Pierpont in Ventura, a woman called about her 2017 Yaris. She had one key, bought the car used, never got around to a spare. I rebuilt her original fob board into a fresh shell, cut two new blades to match, and programmed both keys at the vehicle through the OBD port. Tested every button, tested both keys at the ignition, walked the doors. Done in about 40 minutes at her parking spot.
She mentioned she had called the dealer first. The quote she got assumed a full all-keys-lost job regardless of whether the chip was recoverable. That is not always the right call, and it is not the cheapest one either. If you still have the broken key, even just pieces of it, bring it. The chip surviving a cracked housing is more common than people expect, and it can change what the job looks like.
