La Colonia, Oxnard. A guy with a 2019 Acura RDX and one working smart key left. He was not locked out yet, but he had already done the math on what happens when that last fob goes.

While the software ran, I cut the emergency insert blade on the new fob so he would have a working mechanical backup if the battery ever died. Then I walked every function: lock, unlock, all the remaining buttons, and push-button start from both key positions in the cabin. Everything confirmed.
Thirty-some minutes total. He kept his afternoon, skipped the dealer appointment, and left with two working keys instead of one.
