A welder out in the Wildwood neighborhood in Thousand Oaks called me one morning before his shift. He had a 2014 Dodge Charger with one working smart key and wanted a spare made before the original finally quit on him. He'd already called the Dodge dealer. I pulled up to his driveway around 6:45. His Charger uses the Y157 keyway, the standard Chrysler high-security blade profile that runs across most of the CDJR platform from this generation. I decoded his driver door cylinder with my Y157 Lishi tool right there at the car. Read the wafer positions, cut the blade to match.
Then I plugged into the OBD-II port to talk to the SKIM module. No security gateway on these 2014 models, so with the dealer PIN pulled from NASTF, the fob registered clean. Programmed the Hitag2 transponder, synced all five buttons including remote start, and tested lock, unlock, trunk, panic, and engine crank.
He was holding a second working key before most people finish their coffee. Kept his whole morning, saved a good chunk over the dealer route, and never left his driveway.
