I was already off for the night when the call came in from Sunset Hills.
An off-duty firefighter had been at a bar in Thousand Oaks after his shift. His jacket went off the back of his stool at some point during the evening. Keys, wallet, badge, all of it gone. He borrowed the bartender's phone and called the police, then his wife, then me.
