A tattoo artist in the Conejo Oaks neighborhood in Thousand Oaks flagged me down about his 2016 Dodge Charger. Not a lost key, not a no-start. Just a Fobik that was falling apart in his hand.

Then I cracked open his old Fobik, transferred the board and transponder into the new housing, seated the battery, and snapped it shut.
Tested all five buttons. Lock, unlock, trunk, remote start, panic. Walked the range out past 40 feet. Started the car twice. Everything matched factory behavior.
His chip never left the loop. The RF Hub never lost its pairing. He got a solid fob back for a fraction of what the dealer quoted to replace parts that were never broken.
