Paradise Falls resident locked his KR5TXN7 smart key in his 2022 Q50 trunk while loading groceries. The valet key was at home, twenty minutes away.
He tried everything first. The MyInfiniti app wouldn't connect. His wife's phone had the app too, but it wanted him to re-verify the account. The trunk release on the driver door did nothing without a detected key inside.
I got there and used my Lishi NI04 to decode the driver door, then cut a mechanical blank on my Condor XC-Mini. That got us into the cabin. But here's the thing with modern Infinitis: just getting in doesn't solve it. The trunk still wouldn't pop because the BCM needs to see a programmed smart key to release the latch.
I connected my Autel IM608 through the OBD port, pulled the BCM data, and programmed a new KR5TXN7 while his groceries sat in the sun. The NSM2 module accepted the registration after I entered the 40-digit PIN. Fresh CR2032 in the new fob, tested all five buttons including the trunk release.
His frozen items survived. The dealer quoted him three days wait and wanted way more than what I charged to fix it right there in the parking lot.
