2012 Subaru WRX Transponder Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Camarillo Heights on a Wednesday morning. A chiropractor had patients booked back to back, thirty minutes apart, from 8am straight through to 5pm. His 2012 WRX was sitting in the office lot, cut key in his pocket, and the car just wasn't starting. He had already tried the spare. Same result.
He had no window to drive to a dealer. No window to arrange a tow. Couldn't leave work mid-day even if he wanted to. He found me and asked if I could get there before his 1pm slot opened up.
I pulled into the lot around 12:40. He met me outside between patients, handed me both keys, and went back inside. I decoded the blade and confirmed the cut matched the lock. Then I connected through the OBD port and got the transponder registered to the vehicle. The whole diagnostic and programming sequence was done before he stepped out again at 1pm.
He stood next to the car, turned the key, and it started on the first try. He said something like "that's it?" and walked back in for his next patient.
The dealer would have wanted the car towed in, a service appointment scheduled days out, and a wait while they sourced the key by VIN. He paid a fraction of that and the car never left the parking spot.
