The whole thing, cut plus programming, took about 35 minutes. He turned both keys back to back, started it twice each, locked and unlocked from the remote. Same result the dealer would have delivered, just done on site in a single visit for a fraction of what they wanted.
He slid the old key into his wallet as the backup. Smart move.
