A homeowner near the High Street Arts Center in Moorpark called because a tow company told him they couldn't get a flatbed up his steep, narrow hillside road. His 2003 750Li was sitting in the driveway with one dead smart key and no spare.

I connected my programmer, read the CAS1 data, and prepared a new smart key with the LX8766S housing, HU92 blade, and a fresh PCF7942 chip. Cut the comfort access blade on the laser machine in the van, synced the 315 MHz remote, and seated a new CR2032.
Tested all four buttons, keyless entry from both front handles, and push-button start. His car never left the driveway.
