2011 BMW 7 Series Emergency Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Got a call from a woman down at Marine Emporium Landing in Oxnard. Her 2011 750Li had been sitting at the marina lot for three days because the only fob she had left was giving her the "Key Invalid" message on the iDrive screen. The car would not crank. She had already called the BMW dealer and they told her the car had to be towed in, they needed to order the fob, and she was looking at a week-plus wait before she could drive again.
She had her VIN ready when she called. Texted me a photo of the registration too. That told me everything: F02 long wheelbase, CAS4 module, Comfort Access, YGOHUF5767 fob with the HU100R emergency insert.
I pulled the CAS4 data with my VVDI BMW tool, backed up the EEPROM, and wrote the new key. Cut the HU100R blade on my Condor. Then tested everything: remote lock, remote unlock, trunk pop, Comfort Access on all four door handles, and a clean engine start with no dash warnings.
She slid the emergency blade out of the new fob and tried the driver door manually, just to see it work. Then she tucked it back in and stood there staring at the harbor for a second, like she was deciding whether to just leave right then.
The whole job, parking to handoff, ran about 35 minutes. A fraction of what the dealer quoted, and she never had to tow anything.
