I got a call from a guy parked near the Oxnard Collection, not far from Five Points. He had a 2017 BMW 7 Series and a fob that had just stopped communicating with the car. The vehicle's security system enrolled the new key, the old dead fob got wiped from the system so it can't be used even if someone finds it, and I walked every function. Doors, proximity entry, push-button start, each button on the fob. Everything worked.
He asked me what would have happened if he'd taken the dealer route. I told him honestly: a tow bill, probably an overnight, and a tab that would have hurt. He saved a good chunk going the mobile route, and he drove home that same night.
