A guy out near Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura had been fighting his 2009 Chrysler 300 for weeks. Every morning he would push the FOBIK into the WIN, wiggle it, press harder, wait for it to catch. The internal return spring contact was worn flat on one side, and the detent that holds the FOBIK in the RUN position had a groove worn into it. Classic high-mileage WIN wear on these LX-platform cars. The module was not dead. It just needed the contact surfaces cleaned and re-profiled, and the detent smoothed out.

Cut a fresh FOBIK, decoded his door lock to match, and paired the IYZ-C01C remote function through the SKIM module using pin code from the cluster. Column turns clean now, no wiggle, no sticking. He stood there turning it on and off about six times like he was testing whether it would betray him again.

Whole thing cost him a fraction of what the dealer wanted.
