Got a call from a guy near the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza on a Saturday. He had a 2014 Chrysler 300 sitting in a dirt lot at a trailhead outside town, zero keys. He'd hiked to a ridge just to get a cell signal.

The WIN module has to be accessed, old key data wiped, and new fob identities written before the car will recognize anything. I used my ACDP programmer to pull a backup of the immobilizer data off the WIN first, then ran the AKL procedure through the OBD-II port. Programmed his new M3N-40821302 fob, cut the emergency insert blade, and tested passive entry on every door plus the trunk button.
His 300 started on a dirt road with no tow truck anywhere close. He just stood there watching the dash like it might change its mind.
He could have had the car flatbedded to a dealer and waited days for a parts-counter fob order. Instead it was handled right there, for a fraction of what that route would have cost.
