A family near California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks lost their only Fobik at one of those overflow parking areas after a long day out. Searched everywhere, checked lost and found twice, nothing. Their 2012 Chrysler 300 was just sitting there with four tired kids and no way in.
I told them about 30 minutes.
Started with my Y171 Lishi to pick the door lock and decode every wafer position. The 300 uses a standard Y171 keyway on the driver door cylinder, so I had the cut data before I even touched my key machine. Cut a fresh emergency blade to match right there on the hood.
Then the real work. Connected through OBD-II, pulled the four-digit PIN from the WIN module, and ran the all-keys-lost procedure. That sequence wipes every previously registered Fobik from the car's memory and writes the new one as primary. Their M3N-40821302 started the 300 on the first press. I programmed a second Fobik while I was in the system, because adding a spare while you're already connected takes almost no extra time compared to doing it as a separate visit later.
The whole job ran about 45 minutes. A dealer would have meant a tow, a wait for an appointment, and a bill that would have made the day even worse. They loaded up and drove home with two working keys.
