Sunday morning in Ojai. A guy walks out of his church near Upper Ojai after service, points the fob at his 2022 Savana, and nothing happens. No unlock. He tries again. Still nothing. He's got a youth group lunch to get to and the dealer's phone just rings.

When I got there, I tested the fob first. The CR2032 was completely flat, which explained the dead buttons. But swapping the battery alone didn't solve it. He made the lunch. The dealer was closed anyway, and even if it weren't, this would have been a Monday-at-earliest situation at a price that would have stung a lot more. Same Sunday morning rate for me as any other day.
