A graphic novelist up in Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura called me after hitting a wall with his dealer. For the immobilizer side, I used my VVDI2 to perform the G-chip registration through the OBD-II port, which included the mandatory security countdown the body integrated unit requires before it accepts a new transponder.
Built the full remote head key with the CWTWB1U811 housing, fresh CR2032, tested all four buttons, and confirmed the engine started clean with no security light flashing on the dash.
His car never left that hillside. He stood there sketching something in a little Moleskine while I worked, which honestly was a first for me. Whole thing took about 70 minutes including my hike. The dealer would have been days of waiting, a tow bill on top of the key cost, and way more money.
