Got a call from a guy pulled over near the Esplanade Shopping Center in Oxnard. His 2017 Toyota Camry key blade snapped clean in the ignition. Half stuck inside, half in his hand. He had already called someone else who quoted him for a full ignition cylinder replacement, drilling included.
I got there and pulled out the TOY43AT Lishi. That tool fits the Toyota 10-cut keyway and lets me work around a broken fragment without touching the wafer stack inside. Slid past the stuck piece, grabbed it, pulled it clean. No damage to the cylinder, no marks on the column.
Then I decoded the lock right there from the wafer positions. Cut a new blade on my mobile machine and programmed the H-chip transponder through the OBD port. His HYQ14FBA proximity fob was fine the whole time. It was just the metal insert key that broke. So I paired the new blade's chip to the immobilizer, tested push-button start, tested the backup method where you hold the fob against the start button, and ran all four remote buttons.
He kept looking back at his ignition like he expected it to look different. Nope. Same lock, same cylinder, new key. Works exactly like it did before the snap. He walked away paying a fraction of what the other guy's drill-and-replace plan would have cost.
