2020 Toyota Camry Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Over in the Spring Road area of Moorpark, a guy with a 2020 Camry called me at about 2 in the morning. His only smart key had quit. The car sat in the driveway, push-to-start with nothing to push, and he was already looking up tow company numbers and dealer hours for the next day.

I got there, connected my Smart Pro to the OBD-II port, and started Toyota's all-keys-lost procedure. On the eighth-gen Camry the immobilizer runs Toyota's H-system encryption on the 128-bit Texas Instruments DST-AES chip. The Smart Pro reads the seed data off the immobilizer ECU, calculates the password server-side, and then walks through registration from scratch. No existing key needed.
His new HYQ14FBC, the 4-button proximity fob with part number 89904-06220, was programmed and tested in the driveway by about 2:30 AM. I walked every door handle for proximity unlock, checked the trunk release, verified the push-button start from both front seats, and made sure the dash was clean of warnings.
He kept staring at the key like he expected it to stop working. It did not.
The whole thing took maybe 35 minutes. No tow truck, no waiting room, no leaving the car somewhere overnight. A fraction of what the dealer would have run him, and he was back in business before 3 AM.
