The 2024 Camry uses a smart key system that requires professional diagnostic equipment to register a new fob. There is no ignition-turn trick, no button sequence in the car. The fob has to be enrolled through the OBD port using a tool that speaks the right protocol for this generation of Toyota security. I brought my dedicated Toyota-compatible programmer, connected up in the lot, and walked through the registration process while she watched.
Four buttons on the factory fob, CR2032 inside. I checked the battery contact seating while I had it open, ran every button function after programming, and walked both doors and the push-button start to confirm it was seeing the fob correctly at normal range, not just from a foot away.
Done in the lot. No tow, no overnight wait, no second trip. She saved a good chunk compared to the dealer route, and she drove home with a working spare in her bag.
