A camper up in Cold Spring had been parked near one of the trail pullouts off East Camino Cielo for two days when it happened. He came back to his 2024 Trax and had nothing. Not a dead fob, not a weak fob. No fob at all. He had one key when he left home and somewhere between the trail and the car it was gone. From the time I arrived to the time he drove away was under an hour.
He said he had mentally written off the afternoon to a tow and a dealer appointment. The dealer comparison came up on its own.
